STUDIO CITY—An overnight water main break on October 10 caused plenty of damage for residents in one Studio City neighborhood.

An eight inch water-main pipe broke at approximately 2:00 a.m. near Halkirk Street and Goodland Place. Residents claimed the incident felt like an earthquake.

According to the Los Angeles Department of Water and Power, the water-main break left about 50 homes in the neighborhood without water. Water was restored by the end of the day to residents.

No exact number of the gallons of water that was lost because of the break has been reported.
