TOPANGA CANYON—Detectives from the Los Angeles Police Department’s Operations Valley Bureau Homicide is in need of the public’s assistance to identify and arrest the suspect responsible for a fatal traffic collision that killed a 35 year-old Hispanic female from Canoga Park.

According to the LAPD Blog, on Saturday, March 3 at around 10:45 p.m. patrol officers from the LAPD received a radio call of a “Female with Critical Injuries” at a local hospital. Officers arrived on the scene, and learned the victim sustained blunt force trauma that was consistent with being hit by a car. She was later pronounced dead at the hospital.

Operation Valley Bureau Homicide Detectives were informed and responded to the scene in the alley of 7300 Milwood Avenue. Based on their investigation, detectives discovered that at around 10:00 p.m., the victim may have been arguing with an unknown male and was struck by an unknown vehicle that did not stop. The name of the victim has not yet been disclosed to the public. Detectives are working to determine if this was an accidental or intentional act.
