HOLLYWOOD HILLS—The Los Angeles Police Department’s Hollywood Division have caught a male suspect involved in a series of parking lot attendant robberies. The string of robberies occurred from June 11 through June 25, between the hours of 11:35 a.m. to 10:50 p.m. The robberies occurred in the neighborhoods around Hollywood Boulevard from Gower Street to Highland Avenue, according to police.

The individual was armed with a handgun and stole money from his victims and fled on a mountain bike. Det. W. Eberhardt, of LAPD’s Hollywood Division spoke with Canyon News and indicated that, “The assailant rides up on a bicycle and confronts the parking lot attendants at gunpoint.” The mountain bike used in the crimes has been described as being red and or black. The suspect was described as a 40 to 60 year-old African-American male, standing 5 feet and 6 inches tall and possibly weighing between 130-150 pounds. He was seen wearing a ‘Flat Bill’ style baseball hat during the robberies.

Canyon News learned of the arrest of the suspect from the LAPD Hollywood Division’s Facebook page. The page posted the original press release with the comment: “Thank you for the tips. The suspect was taken into custody thanks to our Hollywood Enforcement Detail. Great Job!”
