BEVERLY HILLS—The Milken Institute Global Conference will be held from May 1 to May 4 at The Beverly Hilton. The invite-only event will bring together some of the world’s most forward-thinking leaders to discuss the theme of this conference: “The Future of Human Kind.”

“The Global Conference convenes some of the world’s most extraordinary people to explore solutions to today’s most pressing challenges in financial markets, industry sectors, health, government and education. Where others see problems, we seek solutions,” the Milken Institute website states as their mission for the conference.

Some of the individuals that will be part of the panels include NBA player Kobe Bryant; former president of Mexico, Vicente Fox; former Prime Minister, Tony Blair; Los Angeles Mayor Eric Garcetti; Actress and Founder of The Honest Company, Jessica Alba; Actress and Hawn Foundation leader, Goldie Hawn; Author, Entrepreneur, Activist and Philanthropist, Russell Simmon; and singer/actress Cher.

Former U.S. Vice President, Al Gore, was part of a luncheon on Monday, May 1 titled “The Future of Humankind” and the question of the luncheon was, “What will it be like to be human a century from now?” The group spoke about how science and technology are advancing at a fast pace and on what we can expect in the coming century.

Some of the other panels that will be held are, “Real Estate: Where Are Prospects Rising and Falling?” “Are You Investing in the Workforce of Tomorrow or the Workforce of Yesterday?” “Women Entrepreneurs: A Dynamic Force in Global Growth,” with Jessica Alba included on the panel.
