PACIFIC PALISADES—On Monday, September 28, a teenager went missing in Pacific Palisades at around 9 a.m.

The teen, 16-year-old William Beutener, had last been seen at the Palisades Library at around 12:40 p.m. when the search started. The library is 2.7 miles away from where Beutener was reported missing, which was at Amalfi Drive and Sorrento Drive.

In a community alert released by Palisades Patrol/Gates Security, he was described as a white male with brown hair and green eyes. He was wearing a dark blue t-shirt, dark blue shorts, and was in poor mental condition.

At 7 p.m., Beutener was located in Santa Monica. He was later transported to UCLA Medical Center.

Canyon News spoke with a representative from the Palisades Patrol, who said that Beutener was not injured and was transferred to UCLA for unknown reasons.

The reason as to why he went missing has not yet been disclosed to the public.
