The one-story house features an airy open-plan concept with high ceilings and lots of windows. There are four bedrooms and four bathrooms, along with a spacious living room and an eat-in kitchen. Built in an L-shape around the pool, many of the rooms overlook the tiled exterior and modest pool. A deck overlooks the canyon below, with an excellent view of Los Angeles.
Zillow gave the area surrounding the property a walk score of 54 out of 100, rating how accessible the nearest restaurant, bar and grocery stores are by foot.
The property is situated in the affluent Outpost Estates Community, home to many celebrities who value the neighborhood’s proximity to Hollywood and its privacy.
The nearest schools include Valley View Elementary and Los Angeles Unified School District middle schools and high schools.
The property is not Hayek’s primary residence. In 2014, she moved from France to London with her husband, François Pinault. In her absence, Hayek has been renting out the house for the past couple years.
Jacqueline Tager of Sotheby’s International Realty listed the house on July 16.
