WEST HOLLYWOOD—Two separate assaults with a deadly weapon transpired in West Hollywood in the past week. The first occurred at approximately 8:45 p.m. on April 9, in the 1000 block of Vista Street, and the second assault, a person was shot, occurred close to 12:07 p.m. in the 7900 block of Norton Avenue on April 15. The Los Angeles Sheriff’s Department has released an update on the assaults.

An update released by the LASD Information Bureau noted that the West Hollywood Sheriff’s Station is currently investigating a vehicle of interest to the assault that occurred on April 9. The unidentified victim was shot several times, while standing on the balcony of a building in West Hollywood. The woman was taken to a hospital for treatment and is medically stable.

Authorities have identified a person of interest for the April 14 incident in West Hollywood, where the assailant used a deadly weapon. The LASD do not believe the assaults are connected and are isolated incidents.
