HOLLYWOOD—Jason Franklin has officially lost it on Tyler Perry’s “The Oval.” This week’s episode, ‘A Woman Scorned’ saw Isaac meet with his mark who is demanding a hefty payday to take out Eli for Victoria and Hunter. I want to know how Dilva will feel about this move being made. Poison or burned alive is the technique of torture these villainous players want to see unfold. The fire option was dismissed, as the poisoning approach would be brutal with a $1.8 million price tag.
Implementing bacteria to send Eli to his grave, would lead to an investigation that will prove it was deliberate; an inside job. Gosh, I can barely understand this guy who is speaking. It was apparent that Hunter, Victoria and Isaac are making a move that will ultimately lead to their downfall and I’m all for it. Truth be told I can care less about Rachel and Allan; they had a quick fling, and it was over with little to no movement afterwards, but it was fun watching Jason secretly record them, but sick at the same time. Rachel being very forward convinced Allan to have sex in his office, as Jason recorded every moment of it.
In other news, Kyle FINALLY located Jason’s secret passageway in the closet of his bedroom. It only took a CIA agent years to figure this out? Make that make sense please! it was a moment to see Hunter ask Victoria if she ever loved her children, and she actually admitted that she didn’t love them. What? Really, Gail’s name comes up again, yet we still haven’t heard or seen her since season 1! Got to give kudos to Hunter for at least trying to get Jason the help he needs.
Kyle, Donald and Sam found Jason’s wicked dungeon and now they are seriously concerned about more bodies dropping. Jason realized that his secret passageway has been exposed as he spied from a distance. Bobby and Max commiserated that they are not safe and their lives are in grave danger. Kareem was still holding Sharon hostage, when he learned that Tone was shot and killed after he discovered the money, and it looks like a gang war is about to erupt. Gunfire transpired and Sharon managed to escape her former lover’s clutches.
Eli and Simone learned they were being bugged, but they may have found an ally who is loyal (don’t know about that), just as they considered making a legitimate move to take over the Presidential Office from Hunter and Victoria. Simone came up with an idea that Eli knows Washington D.C. better than anyone else and he has to utilize his connections. Hunter was getting ready to eat lunch, and he had a new chef with chili, but it raised an immediate red flag from Eli and Simone. Good catch by both Simone and Eli not to indulge in eating that food that could be poisoned.
Allan and Rachel were almost caught in the act by Donald, who informed her that she will have to speak to the secret service about what unfolded with Trent. Jason appeared from the darkness and kidnapped Rachel, just as Richard was taken aback by the new chef in the House Quarters. Even Richard new something was off with the new chef. Naomi realized that Richard has more pull than she realizes, as red flags were exploding all over him. Richard alerted Sam about his concerns about Agent Cross and the new chef, as Richard gave him tips on how to find Jason: think like Jason.
No one cares about this fake storyline about America being under attack on “The Oval.” It just feels like sloppy and unnecessary distraction when it comes to narrative storytelling. Dilva was stunned when a reporter asked questions about Hunter’s cocaine addiction. Hmm, looks like Simone and Eli took the first shot; a whistleblower inside The White House is starting to spill the tea.
Nancy was ready to fire when she got a knock on her door, only to discover it was Priscilla and Max. Priscilla was fired up and ready to spill because of Hunter’s threats. The final moments of the episode watched Jason drag Rachel into the tunnels. It just feels like the CIA should know all about the hiding spots in The White House. I guess we’re dealing with inept CIA agents on “The Oval.”
