LOS ANGELES—Mark Bowman gave USC fans plenty to remember Saturday, September 12. The freshman tight end was one of the bright spots in the Trojans’ 49-30 win over Louisiana, making six receptions for 83 yards and finding the end zone twice. His night also included one of the game’s most memorable plays, as Bowman cleared two Louisiana defenders on a 35-yard reception.

Bowman has continued to earn opportunities in USC’s offense, and Saturday was a clear indication of what he can do when his number is called. His size, athleticism and ability to make plays after the catch give the Trojans another option as they head deeper into the season.

For a young player still getting accustomed to college football, it was the type of night that can build confidence. If Bowman continues to develop and make the most of his opportunities, his role could become even bigger as the Trojans’ season moves along.
