WEST HOLLYWOOD—On Wednesday, August 26, the city of West Hollywood announced the second Spinning Sunset on the Sunset Strip, which will take place on Saturday, August 29. It is an annual music and vinyl record festival. It runs from 1 p.m. to 7 p.m. at the lower parking lot of Sunset Plaza, located at 8610 Sunset Boulevard.
The festival celebrates the history of the Sunset Strip and encourages residents to support local businesses and offers a chance to build community. The Sunset Strip Business Improvement District was created in 2002 to promote business growth on Sunset Boulevard, which stretches between Havenhurst Drive and Doheny Road and it sponsors the event, supports public safety, and fosters ties between residents and business owners.
Over 80 vendors will participate, selling a mix of new and vintage clothing and memorabilia. The event will also feature a beer garden and food trucks, a classic car show, and DJ entertainment. Admission to the festival is free.
Those planning to attend can reserve a seat in advance for a chance to win items from participating businesses, including Andaz and Dialog Café. For more details visit: https://www.weho.org/Home/Components/Calendar/Event/32179/15.
