HOLLYWOOD HILLS—The Los Angeles Fire Department reported a flood near 3 p.m., along with a hillside collapse.
It was reported that eight units of an apartment building were forced to evacuate due to the collapse. Cinder blocks were sent through the roof after gallons of water reached the hillside.
Crews reported no injuries, but there was a hole next to the building. A garden hose reportedly overflowed, causing the pool to overflow.
Approximately 7,000 gallons of water were saturating the hillside.
Later that day, the residents who evacuated were let back into their homes.
