HOLLYWOOD-It was an interesting weekend at the box-office, as a superhero did battle with a bunch of raunchy neighbors. It became apparent after Friday; our favorite web slinger was no match for the comedy “Neighbors” which pounced on Spiderman.

The raunchy comedy starring Zac Efron and Seth Rogen surprised audiences with a hefty $51 million; that’s an amazing feat for an R-rated comedy. The film now ranks in the #4 spot for an all-time R-rated comedy. Not too far behind was “The Amazing Spiderman 2″ with $37 million. Spiderman’s legs at the multiplex are quickly dropping as the movie dropped nearly 60 percent in its second week out. The film still has staying power with a domestic total around $147 million. On a global scale the comic book flick has earned over $400 million.

The Cameron Diaz comedy “The Other Woman” added another $9 million to its tally bringing its cumulative total to nearly $61 million in just three weeks. This weekend the remake of “Godzilla” arrives with Bryan Cranston, Elisabeth Olson and Aaron-Taylor Johnson leading the cast. I have a feeling the monster movie will claim the top spot, but “Neighbors” might give it a run for its money.
