HAGUE, NETHERLANDS—A stabbing spree wounding three people transpired in the shopping district in Hague, the Netherlands on Friday, November 29.

First responders were called to Hudson’s Bay store in the city’s Grote Markstraat shopping district. The region is considered one of the busiest areas for shoppers. According to reports, three people were treated for stab wounds they sustained and released. The suspect in the stabbing remains at large.

Initial reports of a light-skinned man between the ages of 45 and 50, of North African descent was dismissed by authorities.   No further details on the suspect has been released to the public.

Video footage taken by bystanders at the scene showed the crowd quickly fleeing the area.

The Netherlands has one of the most strict gun laws in the world. Owning a gun is reserved for law enforcement, hunters, and target shooters.

It is not clear if Friday’s stabbing is related to the stabbing attack on the London Bridge on the same day.
