HOLLYWOOD HILLS—Former “The Price is Right” host Bob Barker was hospitalized on Tuesday, October 20 after falling and striking his head outside his Hollywood Hills home. He has since been discharged from the hospital and is now recovering.

Reports state that officers who were walking by Barker’s home at around 10:30 a.m. witnessed him trip and fall. According to TMZ,  he suffered lacerations and an injured knee. The officers attended to him while they waited for the ambulance to arrive. He was taken to Cedar-Sinai Hospital where he was in stable condition, and was later released.

One of Barker’s representatives told Entertainment Tonight: “He is resting at home and doing okay. He works out every day and is disappointed that he’ll have to take a little break until he heals.”

Barker, 91-years-old, retired from hosting the popular CBS game show “The Price is Right” which he hosted from 1972-2007. The show is now hosted by Drew Carey. Barker had been the host for 35 years, and it is still the highest-rated daytime game show of all time.

He appeared in the 1996 comedy “Billy Madison” alongside Adam Sandler where the flick pokes fun at Barker’s famous phrase from the game show.
