MELROSE—On September 13, a burglar stole 15 bags from the high-end boutique Parabellum located on the 8200 block of Melrose Avenue.

According to the Los Angeles Police Department blog, the suspect, who was seen looking inside the boutique at around 2:40 a.m., used a sledge hammer to smash a display window. He then proceeded to go around the store stuffing purses and other merchandise into an industrial sized dry cleaning bag. The burglar stole multiple bags each valued at $2,500.

The Los Angeles Police Department Wilshire Area Burglary detectives are asking for the public’s assistance in identifying the suspect, who was caught on video taking the handbags from the boutique.

The suspect is described as a black male, 40-50 years of age, standing 6 feet and 3 inches tall and weighing 260 pounds. He was seen wearing a white towel or rag on his head, black shirt, blue jeans, white shoes, and gloves.
