HOLLYWOOD HILLS—On Saturday, September 26, at approximately 11:30 p.m., the Los Angeles Police Department responded to a call of three masked men in a Hollywood Hills neighborhood. Officers responded to the home of actress, Monet Mazur who reported the incident.

Mazur indicated the suspects were wearing all black and trespassing on her property visible on surveillance camera. She had her dog when she attempted to approach the suspects, who immediately fled.

RMG first reported that responding officers searched the area. LAPD Air support joined but were unable to find the suspects. According to reports, the suspects left behind a canister of pepper spray.

On September 23, there were two attempted burglaries within an hour of one another. A woman was house sitting with her dog at a home on Hesby Street in Sherman Oaks, when at approximately 10:30 p.m. when she heard something. She peered over the balcony and spotted a man smashing and breaking through the glass door. The suspect(s) heard the woman and fled the scene.

At approximately 11:30 p.m. authorities responded to a Hollywood Hills home located on Kings Road. The suspects broke the glass out of a window or door to get inside. The woman, who was home alone, called out and the suspects fled. Homes have been targeted in Encino, Sherman Oaks, and Hollywood Hills. The homes were either empty or appeared to be empty. Perpetrators broke glass out of sliding glass doors and windows.

According to the Los Angeles Sheriff’s Department Crime Statistics Dashboard, 541 burglaries were committed in Los Angeles County in July. In August, there were 520 burglaries. This is down from 641 burglaries in January. There were only 456 burglaries in June 2026.  According to the LASD report, burglaries are down by 79.22 percent.
