CALIFORNIA—Last Monday, May 25, Sagebrush Cantina in Calabasas began hosting drive-in movie nights regularly on site. On this night during its first run, the event sold out and the 1978 iconic musical “Grease” played on screen. The showtimes schedule is available on Sagebrush Cantina’s website. The Mexican restaurant is located at 23527 Calabasas Road. They also have adjusted their other services in response to California’s health and safety regulations towards reopening. They offer no contact, drive-thru pick up for fresh produce in bulk.

There is also a limited menu for hot food orders which is open seven days a week and through curbside pickup only. Their menu is posted online. Alcoholic drinks can be purchased with takeout orders, and customers must be 21 or older for pick up. 

The 46-year-old eatery is known for its Southwestern cuisine, live entertainment, and ample space for groups seeking a casual and fun atmosphere. There is also a bar and open outdoor seating area. On Yelp, favorite events that customers have recommended coming back for include live band performances, dancing, and Thursday karaoke nights. According to Sagebrush Cantina’s Twitter account, they have been voted the best brunch in the San Fernando Valley.

Soon on a weekly basis, Sagebrush Cantina will donate meals to medical workers at their local hospitals such as West Hills and Los Robles Hospitals. For customers interested in participating, they will accept $5.00 donations for each meal they wish to give.
