SANTA MONICA—Both the California Department of Transportation and Southern California Edison announced that over the next week, there will be ongoing closures on Pacific Coast Highway and Topanga Canyon Boulevard due to emergency repair work that will last until January 25.
It is possible that there will be closures at night between Trancas Canyon Road and Guernsey Avenue and at the Corral Canyon Road Bridge. In addition, crews will be doing repair work South of Las Flores Canyon Road, extending to Sunset Boulevard, and there will be closures from 9 p.m. to 6 a.m. during the week.
There will be repair operations spanning Las Flores Canyon and Topanga Canyon Boulevard, and one of the northbound lanes will be closed from 4 a.m. to 3 p.m. on weekdays, from 4 a.m. to 4 p.m. on weekends, and from 9 p.m. to 6 a.m. each night. One of the southbound lanes will be closed during the same time.
There will be repair work done on the slope and cleanup being done South of Topanga Canyon Boulevard, requiring that one of the northbound lanes will be closed from 6 a.m. to 3 p.m. In addition, one of the northbound lanes will be closed between Coastline Drive and Porto Marina Way near Getty Villa, so that work can be done on the retaining wall during the same time.
On Pacific Coast Highway speed will be limited to 35 mph from Temescal Canyon Road to Sunset Boulevard, and 25 mph from Sunset Boulevard to Carbon Beach Terrace.
South of Big Rock Drive, traffic will be reduced to one lane from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. weekdays for construction.
