PHOENIX, AZ—On Sunday, September 14, a young man was caught on video defacing a Charlie Kirk memorial site that was set up outside the Turning Point USA headquarters in Phoenix, Arizona. When the young man was arrested, he was wearing a t-shirt like the one Tyler Robinson was photographed wearing just before Kirk’s assassination.
A mural in honor of the Christian conservative activist was painted at a place referred to as “graffiti bridge,” in Pensacola, Florida.
A mural that covered part of the wall looked so much like Charlie Kirk with the words “Rest in Peace 10-14-1993 and 9-10-2025. It too, was vandalized on September 14.
The vandal(s) spray painted “A good Nazi is a Dead Nazi,” “Womp Womp” and “Free Palestine” on the mural.
Young people came out in what has been described as, “In a true Charlie Kirk fashion,” spray painted over the hate-filled words, leaving bible verses and a cross instead.
When Charlie Kirk was killed, he left behind a young wife and two toddlers. There were no protests in the streets over the killing. A movement started. Young people have taken to social media with testimonials of hope telling how Charlie Kirk helped them overcome their trials, and saying, “I am Charlie Kirk.”
Charlie Kirk’s wife, Erika, first statement was made on Fox News. She has spoken since thanking President Trump, Vice President Vance, and the thousands of supporters. Her message to the evil doers that wanted him dead she sent the following message:
“If you thought that my husband’s mission was powerful before, you have no idea. You have no idea what you just have unleashed across this entire country, in this world. You have no idea.
You have no idea the fire that you have ignited within this wife. The cries of this widow will echo around the world like a battle cry to everyone listening tonight across America. The movement my husband built will not die. I refuse to let that happen. It will not die. All of us will refuse to let that happen.”
There is zero tolerance for those who have chosen to publicly celebrate Charlie Kirk’s death. Many high-ranking officials have been placed on leave, teachers, and others who have taken this path have been suspended or lost their jobs. Vice President Vance issued the following statement on celebratory behavior following the death of an innocent man:
“There is no unity with people who scream at children over their parents’ politics. There is no unity with someone who lies about what Charlie Kirk said in order to excuse his murder. There is no unity with someone who harasses an innocent family the day after the father of that family lost a dear friend. There is no unity with the people who celebrate Charlie Kirk’s assassination.
And there is no unity with the people who fund these articles, who pay the salaries of these terrorist sympathizers, who argue that Charlie Kirk, a loving husband and father, deserved a shot to the neck because he spoke words with which they disagree.”
The funeral is scheduled for September 21, at State Farm Stadium in Glendale, Arizona.
On Tuesday, September 16, formal charges were filed against Charlie Kirk’s assassin, 22-year-old, Tyler Robinson. He now faces the death penalty.
