BEVERLY HILLS—The city of Beverly Hills announced on September 28 that it is asking for the public’s feedback as it pertains to Clean Energy Home Programs. Residents can take the Clean Energy Home Survey to help the city better understand how homeowners are using energy efficiently, what home upgrades they are considering, what resources would be helpful, and identify ways to advance sustainable Beverly Hills.
In 2009, Beverly Hills adopted its first Sustainable City Plan as a framework to guide decision making by establishing guiding principles and goals. To ensure the city’s future as a community with a healthy environment and resilient economy, it is critical to examine how our actions today will impact the quality of life for both current and future generations.
As an update to the Sustainable City Plan, the city adopted the Climate Action and Adaptation Plan (CAAP) on April 22, 2025. This ambitious plan is a roadmap for Beverly Hills to work towards carbon neutrality and reduce communitywide greenhouse gas emissions to net-zero.
The mitigation measures in the CAAP include Clean Energy, New and Existing Building Decarbonization, Transportation and Land Use, Solid Waste, Water and Ecosystems, and Community Engagement.
