LOS ANGELES—On Monday, December 30, the Los Angeles Police Department West Bureau’s Special Assault Section (SAS) disclosed that they are seeking additional victims of a sexual assault suspect in West LA. On November 26, investigators arrested Babak Hajhosseini, 42, of Los Angeles, for the sexual assault of an unconscious person.
Hajhosseini worked as a wound and burn doctor at Wound and Burn Centers of America in Los Angeles and Catalina Island Health in Catalina as a visiting specialist. He used job recruiting websites and offered high hourly wages to locate and entice potential victims. He would invite potential victims to work overtime after hours at his residence. Once there, Hajhosseini pressured at least one victim into consuming an alcoholic beverage. After consuming the beverage, the victim fell unconscious before he sexually assaulted and recorded her.

The defendant bailed out of custody on November 29. On December 23, the Office of the District Attorney filed two counts of rape by use of drugs, one count of rape of an unconscious or asleep person, one count of oral copulation by anesthesia or controlled substance, and four counts of oral copulation of an unconscious or asleep person.
Authorities suspect there are other victims who have not yet come forward and would like to speak with any victims of unreported sexual assault by Hajhosseini.
Detectives are requesting anyone with information that could lead to the identification of additional victims or witnesses to contact Officer Lee at Operations-West Bureau, Special Assault Section, at 213-473-0447.
