SANTA MONICA—On August 14, the Santa Monica Police Department and the Santa Monica Fire Department investigated a non-criminal death of an elderly man that occurred in the 1100 block of 7th Street. Authorities reported the death to be a suicide. The Los Angeles County Medical Examiner identified the victim as Maurice Robson, 90.
He died from blunt traumatic injuries, and the cause of death was suicide. His death occurred at a construction site. His body has been released to his family. The SMPD is still investigating the incident. No additional details have been released to the public.
