SANTA MONICA—The Santa Monica Convention and Visitors Bureau (SMCVB), which “promotes tourism, for the benefit of local businesses and residents alike,” has launched its annual “Extra Bedroom” campaign.
The program, which offers heavily discounted hotel room rates in the city of Santa Monica, is now available to residents of the city through January 23.
The “Extra Bedroom” campaign is intended to give back to the Santa Monica resident’s visiting friends and family.
In order to take advantage of the program, locals are asked to “Simply show proof of Santa Monica residency (California ID or driver’s license), and your friends and relatives will receive the discounts.”
Among the hotels offering the discounts are the Ambrose Hotel at 1255 20th Street, the Cal Mar Hotel Suites at 220 California Ave and the Hotel Shangri-La At The Ocean at 1301 Ocean Way, among more than a dozen others.
The SMCVB can also help visitors plan itineraries and make restaurant and accommodation reservations.
