WESTWOOD—The Los Angeles Police Department’s Missing Persons Unit is asking for the public’s help to locate missing UCLA student Michael David Meyers.
Meyers last texted his roommate on November 5, indicating he was going to Mount Russell in Inyo National Park, according to the LAPD blog. He is an experienced hiker and climber, and has been known to go on excursions for several days alone. ATM records indicate he purchased gas and water at a gas station near Mount Russell. His vehicle is described as a 2002 grey Dodge SUV, with the license plate number 7DIB540. Authorities have not been able to find Meyers vehicle and his family is concerned about his safety and well-being.
Meyers is described as a Caucasian male, 25, with brown hair and blue eyes. He is 5 feet and 10 inches tall and weighs approximately 150 pounds.
