HOLLYWOOD HILLS—The Los Angeles Fire Department had to rescue a hiker on Tuesday, January 27. The incident was reported at 6:19 p.m. at 3000 N. Lake Hollywood Drive.

The LAFD air and ground resources assisted in the search for a 70-year-old male who was initially reported missing to park rangers approximately one hour prior to 911 call. A rescuer was lowered to assess the individual, found to be uninjured.

He was hoisted and transported by LAFD helicopter to a safe location. No further updates expected on the incident.
