HOLLYWOOD—The woman who has portrayed the character of Brooke Logan on “The Bold and the Beautiful” for the past quarter of a century is beautiful actress Katherine Kelly Lang. Kelly has remained as popular today as she was decades ago, when she was an inexperienced but magnetic actress. Now, still very magnetic, she’s become one of the most powerful performing leading ladies in television. Lang has captured the attention of millions of viewers in her role as Brooke, who is often called the sexiest woman in the world. The scandalous beauty has kept the attention of every male character in the series, and in the past year Brooke Logan has also been thrown into even more scandals than the average mathematician can count.
Last June Brooke’s beautiful daughter Hope enjoyed graduating from a prestigious Beverly Hills high school. During the night of her graduation party, her mother, fully masked as all of the partygoers were, pulled Hope’s teenaged boyfriend away from the dance floor and out on the Forrester family balcony and seduced him. Brooke would later explain that the affair was a mistake, because she thought the masked Oliver was in fact her husband Ridge instead. That argument didn’t win Brooke any fans from the Forrester family, which Brooke Logan has caused years of grief.
Now the Logan paramour is embroiled in a scandal with her stepson Thomas Forrester. A conniving Whip Jones took a photograph of Brooke and Thomas in a compromising position during the Forrester fashion show this week, then leaked it to a tabloid Web site and now Brooke finds herself steeped in controversy and scandal all over again.
The actress manages to make the scenes so interesting and fresh. Kelly has never received an Emmy award®, but hopefully next spring will bring change for her in that area. Her very first win is well deserved and viewers of the hit drama “The Bold and the Beautiful” are always amazed that she’s left off the Academy ballot. Perhaps being one of the most beautiful women in Hollywood makes people not take her authentic and incredible work seriously? Whatever the reason, 2010 found a Brooke Logan in turmoil and increasingly in more and more traumatic circumstances. That along with her fine performances should ensure the beauty’s name being announced when the Daytime Emmy awards® are announced in the coming weeks.
