MALIBU—Actress Lindsay Lohan’s recent stay at Cliffside Malibu clinic last June was free of charge. RadarOnline reports that “the facility agreed to foot the $150,000 bill in return for the publicity her stay would bring.” This was the actress’ sixth stint in rehab, and her health insurance would not cover the bill.
The star had previously stayed at the Betty Ford Center, but moved to Cliffside Malibu where the facility offered to give her a private room. According to reports, Lohan is financially unstable, with her recent paycheck of $2 million from Oprah Winfrey’s OWN Network going to her manager, publicist and taxes.
The actress has also been unable to pay her long-time assistant, Matt Harrell, who finally quit as a result.
