MALIBU—On September 6, the City of Malibu’s Emergency Operational Center (EOC) closed down a portion of the Pacific Coast Highway due to power line work.

Malibu’s EOC provided a hotline number for updates on the electrical work as well as alternate routes for drivers to take.

The Southern California Edison partially closed down the PCH from Latigo Canyon Road to John Tyler Road. The construction continued until Sunday afternoon.

The repairs carried on to the next day, and alternated between one- and full-lane closures of the PCH throughout the installation and energizing of the power lines.

According to the city of Malibu’s EOC page, Verizon was also working on power lines in the area.
