On September 8, 2025, a decomposed body was found in a Tesla vehicle that was abandoned in a Hollywood impound lot, which was soon identified as being the remains of a missing teenager named Celeste Rivas Hernandez, and the car was discovered to be registered to the singer D4vd. The police have now made an official announcement stating that the singer is not a suspect.
In addition, the signer is not facing any charges.
The police have asked members of the public to avoid speculation about how Celeste Rivas Hernandez died until after the medical examiner has finished examining her body and can find a cause of death.
Furthermore, the police are not treating anyone as either a suspect or as a key witness.
This is so they can focus on studying the results of the toxicology reports and the other forensic evidence that they have already found to determine what happened to Celeste Rivas Hernandez before she died.
The investigation is being lead by members of the Robbery Homicide Division and they are seeking to determine if Celeste Rivas Hernandez death was accidental.
