RIVERSIDE—On August 27, the Riverside Deaf Seniors will be holding a “Home Instead Senior Care” workshop.

 

The workshop will begin at 11:00 a.m., with a lunch social that will run until 12:00 p.m. According to the event’s flyer, the presentation will discuss “activities of the Mind, Body and Soul.” The presentation is expected to end at 1:00 p.m. Once the presentation is over, games will be played from 1:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m.

 

According to the Home Instead Senior Care website, it is defined as “a network of locally owned franchise offices [that were] developed with a passionate desire to be trusted in-home care agency. “Home Instead Senior Care [provides] millions of hours of senior services annually through a network of 900 franchise offices throughout the United States, Canada, Ireland, United Kingdom, Portugal, Switzerland, Japan, Taiwan, Australia, New Zealand, Germany, Finland, Austria, Northern Italy and Puerto Rico.”

 

Senior home care services can include help with day-to-day tasks such as doing the laundry, reading a book, meal preparation, shopping, minor house cleaning and even Alzheimer’s and dementia care.
