UNITED STATES—A new petition is being circulated asking for the President of the United States to offer sanctuary for the second amendment.

The We the people petition, and can be found at: https://petitions.whitehouse.gov/petition/provide-sanctuary-second-amendment

The petition reads:

“Along with Law Enforcement Today, on behalf of LEO’s, Veterans, and law-abiding citizens of the United States of America, we ask that President Trump direct the Justice Department to provide Sanctuary for the Second Amendment. We The People do not authorize or appropriate government funds, resources, employees, agencies, contractors, buildings, detention centers or offices for the purpose of enforcing the law that unconstitutionally infringes on the right of the people to keep and bear arms. The Second Amendment specifically prohibits governmental power and the protection of individual liberties. Gun control laws infringe on the rights of law-abiding citizens, veterans, and don’t help LEO’s in their jobs against criminals, who obtain guns illegally. The 2A belongs to the people, not the government.”

Marjorie Greene, CF-L2, USAW, CF-Kids, BBA University of Georgia – is a conservative political blogger on social media and a female business owner in the fitness and construction industry.

Greene explains in her article how important protecting the second amendment has become since Nancy Pelosi spoke of her anti-gun agenda on February 14, the anniversary of the Parkland, Florida school shooting that killed 17 people in 2018.

“Let’s talk about today: The one-year anniversary of another manifestation of the epidemic of gun violence in America,” said Speaker of the House Nancy Pelosi. “That’s a national emergency. Why don’t you declare that emergency, Mr. President? I wish you would. But a Democratic president can do that.”

“Nancy Pelosi threatened that under a Democrat president, we could see a National Emergency declared on gun violence that could forever take away our full Second Amendment rights. Under a Democrat-controlled Congress and White House, it is virtually guaranteed Americans would no longer be the most free people in the world because of the extreme gun control laws that would be passed and enforced,” said Greene.

The petition has close to 8,000 signatures, many of which are from law enforcement. Other websites are also promoting the petition.
