SANTA MONICA—On September 4, the Santa Monica Police Department announced it is investigating reports of shots fired on Bay Street.
The shooting occurred around 6 p.m. in the 000 block. A preliminary investigation suggests an argument between two individuals preceded it. There have been no reports of injuries, and there is no evidence of any threat to the city.
The investigation is ongoing, but no additional information has been released to the public. Anyone with details about the shooting is asked to call the SMPD at (310) 458-8491.
Canyon News reached out to the SMPD for comment. The department said there was no active crime scene and that the department did not have any verified information about a suspect to release at this time.
