SHERMAN OAKS—Officers from the Los Angeles Police Department have arrested a suspect in connection to a fatal hit-and run with a pedestrian that occurred on October 4. The incident in question occurred at around 2:20 a.m. on Moorpark Street between Stern Avenue and Matilija Avenue. The victim struck was a 19-year-old woman, a resident of North Hills. She was crossing Moorpark Street, and was hit midblock by a vehicle traveling eastbound on Moorpark.

The victim, Nysmuh Imann Taylor, died from injuries sustained during the collision. On Tuesday, October 6, the Los Angeles Police Department, Valley Traffic Division arrested Lerone Natalia Herscu, 18, of Sherman Oaks in connection to the hit-and-run.

Herscu was arrested for 20001 (a) VC – Felony Hit-and-Run and is being held on a $50,000 bail. The LAPD Traffic Detectives is asking for any additional witnesses who may have seen the collision take place or have any additional information about the crime to come forward and contact the Valley Traffic Detectives at (818) 644-8028.
