LAS VEGAS, NEVADA— According to a video released by the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department (LVMPD) a suspect identified as Darnell Rodgers, 23 was arrested on Thursday, Jan 2 at 3:00 a.m. near the 4400 block of Sirus Avenue.

Rodgers was transported to the Crook County Detention Center and charged with Kidnapping and Domestic Battery for the incident which occurred on New Year’s Day.

Officers responded to evidence obtained from the Ring doorbell surveillance system that captured a white women 20s or 30s who abruptly ran to a strangers door begging for help at approximately 12:48 a.m. appearing to escape her attacker. The victim pleaded, in the audio “Stop, no,” he asks “why would you f—ing do that?” Warning Disturbing Content

Rogers can be seen in the video physically assaulting her in a drag to the sidewalk then into a car where they fled the scene in a white Hyundai Sonata with a sun roof.
