HOLLYWOOD—Yeah, things are not as interesting on “The Oval” as one would think. This week’s episode, ‘Sweet Dreams’ witnessed a lot of couples making up after being at odds for seasons. I mean I never expected Hunter and Victoria Franklin to give one another googly eyes and make love after trying to kill one another since the very first episode of this series.
The same could be said for Nancy and Richard, who seemed to make an amends out of nowhere, after Richard learned about her ordeal with Kareem. Tyler Perry, just exactly what are you doing tying up all the loose ends before you call it quits? That is precisely what it feels like.
Jason showed up to the press room and dropped a bit of tea for the reporters who started asking questions. Now Kyle, tell me how Jason just vanished into thin air and you were not able to see ANYTHING! I mean he’s not invisible, so where did he go? This is where the writing for “The Oval” loses me completely.
Of course, there are secret tunnels and passageways in The White House, and we have a bunch of agents who have NO IDEA where these tunnels where Jason is hiding could be? It is sloppy writing and makes you question how stupid Tyler Perry thinks his viewers are. As for the attacks on the United States, they are coming directly from U.S. soil. Donald wanted revenge against Alan and Lilly, but one would think, considering Alan was just about to face his comeuppance, he should turn the other cheek.
Nope, he’s such an annoying little twat. However, I have a slight edge of hope because it seems Lilly, Alan, Eli, Simone, Priscilla and max might be the viewers saving grace when it comes to seeing the bad guys actually pay for their crimes. Eli wants everyone to play ball until movement can be made to strike back at this corrupt administration.
Jason continued to torture Priscilla as Sam’s (weak ass) watched from a distance. So, you’re telling me Sam, you want to punish your wife so bad, you rather her be inflicted with trauma that she never forgets? Make that make sense! Perry can add Sam to the list of characters who needs to receive a comeuppance, because if he tries to come in with that savior complex, I’m going to be livid.
There is not much more for us to discuss besides the final moments revealing that the nation was under imminent attack, which had Hunter’s head spinning. I am hoping its not just episode after episode of the U.S. under attack; Perry you have to give the viewers something they don’t expect on “The Oval.”
