LOS ANGELES—The city of Los Angeles welcomed the holiday season by decorating the Los Angeles County Music Center on December 2.  Los Angeleshas a few activities to help Los Angelenos and other visitors to LA County get into the Christmas spirit with a Ukulele Christmas Orchestra on December 13, the 54 Annual Los Angeles County Holiday Celebration on December 24, and New Year’s Eve LA on December 31. All events are free for the public to attend.

In the lyrics of Bing Crosby, “Mele Kalikimaka is the thing to say on a bright Hawaiian Christmas day;” and in accordance with the Hawaiian saying, theMusic Center invited adult musicians 18 or older, from beginner to intermediate to strum along with fellow ukulele players.  The event starts at 6:30 p.m. and ends at 8:00 p.m. The Music Center is located on 135 N. Grand Avenue.

The 54th Annual Los Angeles County Holiday Celebration on December 24 will take place from 3:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. in the Dorothy Chandler Pavilion located in the LA County Music Center. The event promises music and dancing from various cultures for a fun evening.

The New Year’s Eve LA, aims to be the new destination of New Years’ Eve.The event will have art, a live photo booth that will show your Christmas wishes for everyone to see, performances from various artists, food trucks, a cash bar, 3-D projections and a countdown to ring in the New Year. The New Year’s Celebration will be at Grand Park located on 200 N. Grand Avenue. The event will run from 6:30 p.m. to 12:30 p.m.
