GRIFFITH PARK—The Los Angeles City Council approved on Tuesday, June 16, a $1 increase to the Los Angeles Zoo admission fee. This is the third year in a row that the City Council has hiked up the price to see Griffith Park’s wildlife exhibits. Over the past seven years, admission for adults has doubled and the entrance fee for children has tripled.

Starting July 1, the price of admission will be as follows:

-$20 for those 13 and older

-$15 for children 12 and under

-$17 for seniors

GLAZA, the Los Angeles Zoo’s non-profit organization in charge of public relations and marketing has estimated the fee increase to produce $857,000 in revenue. That money will help benefit the upkeep and habitat of the animals.
