SANTA MONICA—The second annual Polar Bear Swim is returning to Santa Monica on Saturday, December 29. The event will be held at the Annenberg Community Beach House and will occur from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. The Annenberg Community Beach House is located at 415 Pacific Coast Hwy.

According to the city of Santa Monica website, once participants take the plunge in the Pacific Ocean for 300-yard buoy swim, they can warm up in the heated pool. Poolside activities including S’mores, warm beverages, games and photos with Pat, the city’s polar bear mascot will transpire.

Registration includes pool admission for participants. All ages are encouraged to attend the event. Pool Admission: $10/adults, $5/senior adults 60+, $4/youth 1-17. Regular pool rules apply while swimming at the event. Youth younger than eight years old must be accompanied by an adult while in the water.
