SANTA MONICA—On Wednesday, June 24, an armed robbery occurred at Smoke World, a smoke shop at 1914 Lincoln Boulevard in Santa Monica. Officers responded to the scene at approximately 8:13 a.m. after reports of the incident.
An employee was shot in the leg during the robbery, KTLA first reported. A police officer applied a tourniquet to the wounded employee, who was later transported to a local hospital for treatment. The employee’s condition is unknown.
Two suspects fled southbound on Lincoln Boulevard and remain at large and unidentified. The Santa Monica Police Department is investigating the matter.
