LOS ANGELES—The Los Angeles Sparks came up short against the Minnesota Lynx, losing 99-83 on June 17 to finish the Commissioner’s Cup with a 3-4 record.

Playing without Kelsey Plum and Cameron Brink, the Sparks struggled on offense, shooting 41 percent from the field and 26 percent from 3-point range while committing 15 turnovers.

Rae Burrell led Los Angeles with 19 points, while Dearica Hamby added 12 points and 9 rebounds. Jihyun Park provided a spark off the bench with 13 points.

Minnesota took control behind a dominant 31-point performance from rookie Olivia Miles and never let the Sparks get back into the game.

The Los Angeles will look to bounce back when it hosts the New York Liberty during its next game on June 21.
