PACIFIC PALISADES—On Saturday, August 15, crowds gathered for the highly anticipated reopening of Palisades Village. The celebration opened with a ribbon-cutting ceremony that focused on the repairs as well as the renovations of the village that followed the Palisades fires back in January of 2025.

Palisades Village is an open-air luxurious shopping and dining center developed by Caruso located at 15225 Palisades Village Lane in Pacific Palisades. The shopping and dining center has been under construction for 19 months following the smoke and water damage from the January 2025 Palisades Fire.

The ribbon-cutting ceremony was led by Caruso Founder and Executive Chairman Rick Caruso, Caruso CEO Corinne Verdery, and business owner Elyse Walker, at 11 a.m. on Saturday before the area was open to the public.

The reopening of the Palisades Village is a huge milestone for residents of Pacific Palisades, as this costed more than $100 million in renovations and drew thousands of residents to return to the highly anticipated Palisades shopping and dining center.

“The opening of Palisades Village is one megastep in the recovery of the Pacific Palisades, but many more to go” Caruso said during the ribbon-cutting ceremony. “Today, we plant a flag. Let’s bring this community back quickly, better and more meaningful than ever before.”

Many Palisades businesses reopened to the public on Saturday following the ceremony after more than a year and a half that went into planning and construction for the reopening.

The August 15 celebration ended with finale performances by the Hollywood Film Orchestra, the Hollywood Film Orchestra, the Pacific Palisades Philharmonic Orchestra, Pia Toscano, Katharine McPhee, and Ryan Tedder of OneRepublic.
