HOLLYWOOD—I have been thoroughly enjoying May Sweeps for the first time in a very long time on the ABC soap opera “General Hospital.” I must admit they have been delivering some fantastic drama, the first week was amazing, last week wasn’t that bad either. A lot has been going on, and tons of things are intertwining to say the least.
The biggest being the revelation of Jack Brennen learning Carly was sleeping with his nemesis, Valentin Cassadine. That initial confrontation was great, but what happened afterwards with Nina, Valentin and Jack and Drew’s abode was a moment. As Jack and Valentin struggled for that gun Nina grabbed that syringe with Drew’s medicine and was prepared to inject Valentin but got Jack instead.
Jack was knocked out cold, rushed to the hospital where he suffered a stroke. So now, two people, healthy ones have suffered strokes at the home of Drew Cain? Not a coincidence right, which is precisely what Carly noted to a rattled Nina, but Nina rattled back about Josslyn and Jack and totally had Carly spooked. I love these two ladies when they are going for the jugular of one another. They both know major secrets that could sink the other.
Drew started to gain his movement, but Willow stopped him from making that 911 call for help. Willow is starting to frazzle a bit because she can’t be everywhere at all times, and with the recent incident she is likely to be watched more. She needs to keep her eye on Michael Corinthos though because he is plotting her demise with her former lover Chase. I will admit Chase and Willow work as a couple, I also like Chase with Brook Lynn, but her current predicament is going to cause a rift in the marriage.
How so? I can see Chase and Brook Lynn breaking up after he learns about her hit-and-run which causes an issue in them adopting Phoebe, who actually belongs to Ethan of all people. All signs are pointing towards Chase and Willow hooking up, and can you imagine her getting pregnant. That would be an absolute gamechanger to say the least.
Sonny jumped the gun when it came to Rick because he was not attempting to double cross his brother. He was simply purchasing a very expensive piece of art for Elizabeth. Yes, Rick wants Elizabeth, and I thought she may have wanted him too, but I’ve started to realize that the writers might be looking to pair Elizabeth with Dante of all people! They have a bit of chemistry.
Dante might have more stress on his plate courtesy of Rocco. Why? Rocco is in a tizzy because Charlotte and Danny are deciding to sneak into Wyndemere despite his warning. Charlotte picked up on Rocco’s fear, but her attraction to Danny is clouding her mine. Rocco ran to his brother Gio, who couldn’t get his brother to spill the beans, but Gio warned Dante, but it was Britt who got the truth out of him.
This is important because Cullum suspects Danny shot him. Cullum you are close, but wrong person, its Rocco. They overheard Sidwell and Cullum threatening Britt and we learned this project might be over soon. I still would like to know the details, which I have patiently waited for. Danny and Charlotte are in trouble because they were caught by Cullum, so expect Sonny, Dante, Valentin all to come to the aid of these kids and we might be seeing the beginning of the end of Cullum and Sidwell.
Luckily, Ava Jerome and Sidwell of all people arrived when Cullum was making threats. Sidwell discovered Danny was with Alexis when Marco was killed, and Cullum has now found his mark in Rocco whose emotional state prompted him to visit Britt who Cullum spied on.
You know what I want to see more, Sidwell learn that the person who killed his son has been standing by his side all along. That is going to be exciting TV to witness! Oh, let’s mention Curtis losing his cool and possibly about to face the music. Curtis, Isaiah did not cause that crash, it was Brook Lynn, and you punching him and fracturing his hand severely could be your undoing. Get over it, Portia has moved on and so has you, but I can definitely sense Isaiah wanting a bit of revenge and why not considering the circumstances.
