BEVERLY HILLS—On Monday, May 1, the Beverly Hills Police Department (BHPD) received a delayed report of an incident that occurred on Saturday, April 29, between 4:50 p.m. and 5:10 p.m, involving a female child. According to a press release from the BHPD, the incident was observed by a witness in a residential area south of Wilshire Boulevard, between Robertson and La Cienega Boulevards in Beverly Hills.

According to the witness, an unknown male subject approached the child, who was playing outside her home, and tried to usher her into his vehicle. There was no physical contact between the man and the child. The subject ran to his awaiting vehicle and left the scene when the witness confronted him, without making any statements.

The suspect is described as a Hispanic male, about 30-40 years of age. He is 5 feet and 7 inches tall and has an average build, with dark hair. At the time of the incident, he was wearing a black T-shirt, black pants, and a red baseball cap. His vehicle is believed to be a charcoal gray 4-door Honda Accord with tinted windows.
