WEST HOLLYWOOD—The city will distribute free “Bike WeHo” LED bicycle lights on December 3 to help illuminate bicyclists riding during the long winter nights.
The city of West Hollywood announced on Thursday, November 26 that it would be promoting bicycle safety. The event will take place at an undisclosed location with city staff, commissioners, Sheriff’s Department Bicycle Deputies, and WeHo Bicycle Coalition volunteers passing out complimentary LED lights to passing bicyclists.
The location of the “pop-up” giveaway will be announced on the city’s Facebook, Twitter and Instagram accounts moments before it begins at 4 p.m. and will continue until 8 p.m. A digital message board placed on a city street nearby will also notify the public of the event’s location prior to the light giveaway.
