Dex Dies, Drew Exposed On “General Hospital”

HOLLYWOOD—A lot has unfolded on “General Hospital” in the last week. For starters, what appeared to be a fluke in Sam’s death is looking like we might have a serial killer on our hands. Why? Another “GH” player has bitten the dust, one that was least expected, DEX! Yes, Dex was stabbed after that warning from Cyrus, but was Cyrus the actual culprit or was it someone else?

We know Cyrus was responsible for Sam’s death, but we don’t know why. As for Dex, it was apparent that Dex was getting close to pegging Cyrus as the culprit, but is that truly enough for Cyrus to not only have him stabbed, but also drugged while he was recovering at General Hospital? It just isn’t making sense, we do know that Sidwell Jenz is back in Port Charles masquerading as he spied on Sasha while she was praying at the church after her conversation with Tracy. So one thing is for certain; he’s not dead, which means what is his endgame and does he possibly have ties to Cyrus that the audience is not aware of?

Josslyn is grieving and you have to feel for her. Not only did she lose Oscar a few years back, now she has lost another great love with Dex so it will be interesting to see how she recovers. It feels like Gio could be the guy she leans on for support. I want to speak about Gio for the moment because the writers are really playing with something that appears obvious at this point. We don’t know Gio’s birth parents, but it seems to be pointing at Brook Lynn and possibly Dante being the parents because we’ve had those hints about Dante doing something at summer camp that Cody was aware of and Brook Lynn has also brought it up.

This is important because Brook Lynn and Chase have been trying to get pregnant with no luck. I’m trying to figure out how Brook Lynn has no idea Gio is her son if true, and does Lois know that he is and has kept things hidden for years from her daughter. If so, you have to ask the question why? What does she gain, by not acknowledging Gio as her actual grandson and Brook Lynn as his actual mother. One thing for sure is that it will be a whopper of a reveal for Dante, as he’s grieving Sam and for Brook Lynn it might stun her, but I worry about Chase and how he’ll react to this news. I’ve been wanting some serious strife in their marriage and it looks like I might get my wish.

The exposure and downfall of Drew has been glorious. Making the situation worse was the fact that an entire audience witnessed Drew and Willow getting busy in the nursery thanks to Tracy not wanting to watch football. Drew was stunned, Willow horrified and Michael realized he was caught red-handed. It all culminated with Drew being disowned to some degree by the Quartermaines, while it looks like Willow and Michael might have a custody battle brewing.

Willow and the kids are staying with Nina, who was happy to swoop in as savior for her daughter. However, Ava mind your business about warning Nina about her trysts with Drew. No one is really thinking about it and you already have enough enemies in PC, do you really want to add Nina back to the list? Carly of course went into mother mode wanting to rip Willow’s head off for the betrayal, but only if she knew her son slept with Sasha and she is pregnant. Yeah, Sasha you can only keep your bundle of joy secret for so long because the obvious will be exposed at some point and then what?

Michael is as cold-blooded as AJ and Sonny because he stole Aurora right under Drew’s nose with Curtis help. Sorry, Curtis looks like he plans to steal the company from Michael and I don’t know if Curtis wants that smoke from Sonny, Carly and a host of other people, notably Jason Quartermaine. It was a festive time in PC as the families gathered to celebrate Xmas with people you didn’t expect celebrating the holiday like Alexis and Ric (I wonder if the writers are considering pairing them back together), especially after he almost kissed Ava?

There was Carly and Brennan with Sonny as a third wheel, as Jason warned his bestie Jack Brennan is not to be trusted and I must agree. Then we had the Scorpio family celebrating with the arrival of Emma who is a virtual woman now. Jeez, I would kill for the writers to bring back Robin and Patrick. Those characters were just iconic, and it would be fun to see them in the mix once again. While all of these things were happening, Lulu was able to connect with Charlotte who disclosed her location to her mom who is on the hunt to reunite with her daughter. I wonder how Valentin will react when he comes face-to-face with Lulu, it should be damn captivating “GH” lovers!
