BEVERLY HILLS─A DUI suspect was arrested on Wednesday, January 29 after a pursuit with the Los Angeles Police Department in Beverly Hills.

Officials attempted to pull over a driver who showed signs of intoxication in a grey Mercedes-Benz at about 1:30 p.m. The driver refused to stop which resulted in a pursuit.

The suspect drove his way through the area of Beverly Grove, West Hollywood and Beverly Hills. Fifteen minutes into the pursuit the suspect was seen driving slowly past Beverly Center headed Westbound.

After about 30 minutes, the driver came to Beverly Boulevard and Orlando Avenue stopping traffic at the intersection. Several police cars stopped behind the suspect’s vehicle. Officers issued commands over a PA system for the driver to surrender.

Minutes later the suspect remained in the vehicle, as officers approached. One officer slowly opened the driver’s side door where the suspect exited. According to reports he was apprehended without incident around 2:00 p.m.
