WOODLAND HILLS—The labor and employment law firm, Fisher Phillips, sent out a press release on July 14 debuting their upcoming office in Woodland Hills.

Founded in 1943, the firm has been representing employers with a team of 400 attorneys and 33 different offices where they specialize in labor, employment, civil rights, employee benefits and immigration law. Their headquarters resides in Atlanta, Georgia.

Phillips first expanded to the state of California in 1990 where they created their first office in Irvine. The Woodland Hills location will now be one of six alongside Irvine, Los Angeles, Sacramento, San Diego and San Francisco.

Todd Scherwin, the current managing partner of the LA location will be running the new site as well. He stated the new location will allow clients with better access to any legal services needed:

“By expanding our presence, we are ensuring that our clients across the region have quick access to our attorneys and the legal services they require to keep ahead of the rapidly changing laws that impact their business. Our Woodland Hills attorneys are already fully embedded in the Valley’s communities as trusted business advisors and serve as key resources to clients on workplace law issues, so this office is a natural fit for our firm’s growing California footprint.”
