Heat Eek Out Win In Game 2

SAN ANTONIO—The Miami Heat was back in full-force for Game 2 against the San Antonio Spurs, with a close win 98-96. The air conditioning was back up and running in the arena. LeBron James led his team to victory with 35 points and 10 rebounds, his teammate Chris Bosh had 18 points.

Tony Parker led the Spurs in scoring with 21 points and seven assists in the game. Tim Duncan had 18 points and 15 rebounds during the game. At half-time, the game was tied at 43-43, which delivered an amazing third quarter between both teams with the Spurs gaining the edge by 1 point.

 

The Heat maintained the edge in field goal shooting with 52.9 percent, compared to the Spurs who shot for 43.9 percent. Miami also had the edge on free throw shooting with 76.2 percent. Miami had a total of 13 turnovers, while San Antoniohad 11 turnovers in the game. The Heat dominated scoring in the paint with 44 points, compared to San Antonio’s 34 points.

Game 3 will take the Spurs to Miami’s home court on Tuesday, June 10. With a loss at home, the Spurs must win a game on the road to capture that elusive prize that slipped through their hands in 2013.
