UNITED STATES—Here at the Canyon News we pride ourselves in reporting the news to the readers in our coverage zone, in the state of California and around the world. Now, we need your help more than ever, and we are hopeful our readers will come thru for us. A storage unit we had at Trojan Storage in Rancho Cucamonga, CA 91730 Space D125 was recently sold during our auction without our knowledge.

It contained very personal items like irreplaceable family photos, items collected since childhood, memorabilia of a mother and father who are no longer with us, the urn with their mother’s remains were also inside the unit, and we are desperately hoping to connect with the person who has those items, so they are returned. While they have no value, the emotional connection is more than words can express.

Another important item we are hoping to recollect is the mother’s wedding dress which was passed down in hopes of someone wearing the prized possession on their wedding day. This individual is suffering from a terminal lung disease and all she wants is to have these items back in her possession.

Personal mementos were also inside the storage unit that if anyone who has them, we are asking you to contact us so that we can negotiate to get them back. Items inside this storage unit were all the individual had of her family who are no longer here. They are the sole survivor of their family and these items being gone is beyond emotionally devastating.

The items were auctioned off on August 20, 2025. No prior knowledge was provided to us about the auction or an auction ID#. Apparently, there was an issue with payment for the storage unit, that we were not made aware of despite payment details for the account being stored on file. You would expect the company to contact you by phone to alert you of such an issue, but that never transpired in any capacity.

Any assistance you all can provide us in getting back these prized possessions would be greatly appreciated. This loss has been devastating, so to recoup the family memorabilia at the very least would mean the world to us.

If you are the individual who purchased the storage unit or you have these items, we are asking that you please contact us via email at danny@canyon-news.com or you can also reach us via TEXT at (213) 910-1370 so we can work out something, as we will pay for the return of all items. We much appreciate any assistance with this matter.
