LOS ANGELES—On Tuesday, July 7, the Los Angeles Lakers signed Center Kevon Looney to a one-year deal. The deal is for $3.9 million, where Looney, 30, will play as a backup center for the team. Looney is coming from the New Orleans Pelicans.

He played just 21 games last year averaging 2.8 points and 5.6 rebounds, with 41.7 percent shooting. The Lakers are hoping to get a more reliable season from Looney like his days in Golden State where he always played and gave them a boost on the boards and second chance points.

After all of the moves, since news of LeBron James’s departure from the Los Angeles Lakers there have been a lot of different moves that have been made. Moves include trades for Walker Kessler, and signings like Quentin Grimes, Collin Sexton, and more.
